Follow Me

By Dana Rausch / February 15, 2014

Malani and I went for a walk this week. At 16 months old she is so proud of herself to be walking. She scurries ahead and puts everything into her little gait. Sometimes she walks faster than she should and falls. She’s so eager to be ahead that when she turns to make sure I […]

Two Plus Two Equals Four

By Dana Rausch / February 10, 2014

As soon as you “think” you are done parenting, you get the privilege of “GRAND” parenting, and the fun part of parenting begins! Riding around in the car, Malia, my 5 year old kindergarten granddaughter excitedly says, “Hey Grandma, I’m learning double digits in school! Ask me how much 2 plus 2 is, or […]

By Dana Rausch / January 29, 2014

Listening to the gibberish talk taking place in the back seat between my two youngest grandchildren, something caught my eye. OMG, I’m turning 50!

By Dana Rausch / January 6, 2014

“I can’t stand the thought of turning 50. I’d rather die than turn 50.” Therefore on my 44thbirthday, I called in sick for my 50th birthday. Six years prior to the date I let my boss know I would be sick on that day. I told him again on my 45thbirthday, and again on my […]

As soon as my husband walked out the door the morning of December 26th, I leaped out of bed and started removing the Christmas decorations. Each item was placed in a pile on the dining room table. Then the storage containers were brought in one at a time, packed and taken right back out to […]

Christmas is Not Easy

By Dana Rausch / December 22, 2013

The season always seems to take my tangled up emotions and send them spiraling into a tailspin.  I get stressed out about buying the “right” presents, having enough money, or making everyone happy. And every year I pray it will change….. I want […]
