Blind Spots

By Dana Rausch / September 15, 2014

Our family had just finished dinner and we were lounging in the living room. Sitting on the love seat my nine year old daughter was drinking a can of Mountain Dew. Next to her was my six year old son.  Alarmed, he blurted out, “Brittany! Do you not know that Mountain Dew will lower your […]

By Dana Rausch / September 6, 2014

No, we have not traveled around the world BUT………. In the last 80 days Don and I:   Had our company secretary walk out. Had no passwords, job notes, or instructions. Discovered our money had been grossly mishandled. Uncovered debt we had no knowledge about. Depleted our savings to save the company. Had friendships […]

If I Had Three Wishes

By Dana Rausch / September 4, 2014

If I had three wishes they would be: 1.     Nobody would ever have to feel grief. 2.     Everybody had a relationship with Jesus. 3.     Eternity would begin today. I wish nobody had to ever feel grief. Recently while my husband and I were standing outside ICU doors, they suddenly burst open and a family […]

Hit By A Wave

By Dana Rausch / August 27, 2014

Asking for help, prayer or support does not come easy for me. I think I should be strong, prepared and a pillar of faith. But I am not….. By Dana Rausch / August 7, 2014

“If you have the same dream more than three times the chances of it happening are very likely,” said my sixth grade teacher. An entire class of impressionable young minds soaked that in and considered it pure truth. After all he was an adult as well as our teacher so we could believe everything he […]

Relational Storms

By Dana Rausch / July 14, 2014

The day began like so many others, bright and sunny. With a skip in my step I began my to-do list. As I traveled from place to place, I observed the white puffy clouds in the distance. They contrasted against the bright blue sky. Returning home at lunch time I began working in my office. […]

Plundered By an Enemy

By Dana Rausch / June 30, 2014

Walking up the stairs shaking in fear, I saw the police officer at our apartment door. Entering, I heard more officers but my eye went straight to the splatter of blood on our white curtains. Glancing in the kitchen I saw a butcher knife sticking straight up from a closed drawer. Horrified that someone had […]

By Dana Rausch / June 5, 2014

My heart hurts… I feel weighed down… I hate life… Someone said mean things….I feel betrayed…I feel stabbed….They were my friend…Why can’t it be different? My mentor and friend asked, “How does it feel holding up that titanic?” My flippant response was, “Well, hopefully I lose the flab on my arms….” She smiled yet continued, […]
